Paul Engstrom, M.D. has practiced ophthalmology in Texas since 1987 before moving to Roswell NM in 2000. Dr Paul Engstrom a board-certified ophthalmologist, is dedicated to preserving, restoring and improving your vision using the latest medical innovations to their fullest potential. He takes time to develop a close, personal relationship with each patient. Dr. Engstrom graduated from Northwestern University and earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. He focused on medical surgical eye care at the University of Texas in Houston, where he completed an ophthalmology residency. An advanced fellowship helped him master several special areas of adult and pediatric eye care including crossed eyes and eyelid correction surgery. Because of this specialized training, patients benefit from the unique expertise and skills he is able to offer.
Dr. Engstrom is known for his excellence in cataract surgery. For the treatment of glaucoma, he offers laser and i-stents. He performs eyelid reconstruction both for medical and cosmetic reasons. His pediatric specialty training is an extra plus for those suffering from double vision and cosmetic ocular misalignment. Also, treatment for macular degeneration with injection is available.Dr. Engstrom was raised in Mankato, Minnesota, and now lives in the community of Roswell, NM. He enjoys nature and the outdoors, travel, and is an avid golfer. He has participated in missionary surgery in the Marshall Islands in association with Canvasback Missions.
